أهـداف الجمعـية

   1.         ربط الأطباء الليبيين بعضهم ببعض وإيجاد وسيلة لتبادل الآراء في المجالات المهنية والاجتماعية في داخل ليبيا وخارجها.

   2.         العمل على أيجاد علاقات علمية بين المستشفيات والجامعات في الخارج والمستشفيات والجامعات الليبية للمساهمة في تطوير الصحة والدراسات العليا في ليبيا بقدر الإمكان.

   3.         المساهمة في أيجاد فرص للتعليم في مجال الطب والدراسات العليا ونشر كل ما هو جديد وذو فائدة في مجال الطب إذا أمكن دلك.

   4.         توفير المعلومات الخاصة عن امتحانات المعادلة في بريطانيا وأيرلندة وكندا وأمريكا.

   5.         توفير المعلومات الخاصة بمختلف الامتحانات التي لها علاقة بالدراسات العليا في بريطانيا، وأيرلندة وكندا وأمريكا

   6.         توفير المعلومات عن امتحانات اللغة الإنجليزيةIELTS) ) في بريطانيا.

   7.         توفير المعلومات عن شروط التسجيل والاشتراك في مختلف الجمعيات الطبية وخاصة في بريطانيا وأيرلندة.

   8.         تقديم المعلومات والمساعدة في الحصول على فرص تدريب بقدر الإمكان وخاصة للأطباء الجدد.

   9.         التعريف بتاريخ الطب والأطباء في ليبيا في الماضي والحاضر، وبأهم الأعمال التي قام بها الأطباء الليبيون في ليبيا وفى الخارج.                

10.         النشر على الإنترنت الأبحاث والدراسات والكتب وأي أعمال أخرى في مجال الطب يقوم بأدائها أطباء ليبيون.

11.         توفير المعلومات عن الدورات والتدريبات الدورية والكتب العامة والمتخصصة في شؤون الامتحانات في بريطانيا وأيرلندة وكندا وأمريكيا.

12.         توفير أكبر عدد ممكن من الأسئلة المتخصصة والعامة في امتحانات المعادلة والزمالة في بريطانيا وأيرلندة على شبكة الإنترنت وبأثمان زهيدة للمساهمة في تغطية نفقات موقع الجمعية على شبكة الأنترنت.

13.         مساعدة المرضى الليبيين القادمين للعلاج في الخارج بقدر الإمكان وخاصة بتوفير المعلومات الخاصة بالعيادات والمستشفيات الخاصة وأسماء الاستشاريين في مختلف التخصصات.

 

Aims and Objectives

 

• 1. To act as a communication link for all Libyan doctors to discuss and exchange views on both professional and social issues.

• 2. To provide professional links between universities and hospitals abroad and universities and hospitals in Libya, in order to raise the standards of health services and medical education in Libya.

• 3. To help Libyan doctors, specially those newly qualified, to progress in their postgraduate medical education and higher degree studies through the publication of up-to-date information that may help them prepare for exams and continue their professional development.

• 4. To provide general information on medical examinations in the UK , Ireland, Canada , and the USA.

• 5. To provide information on International English language Testing System (IELTS) in the UK.

• 6. To provide information on requirements for general medical councils registration in the UK and Ireland.

• 7. To offer information and help to Libyan doctors, especially those who are newly qualified, to receive training in different specialities in the UK and Ireland.

• 8. To publish on the LDS's website informative and useful articles on the history of medicine in Libya and the achievements and contributions of Libyan doctors in Libya and abroad.

• 9. Publish on the LDS website articles, research papers, books, and other material related to the medical profession, by Libyan doctors in Libya or abroad.

• 10. To provide information on training courses, meetings, general and specialist books related to examinations in the UK, Ireland, Canada, and USA.

• 11. Improve relations with other professional, national, international and charitable societies.

• 12. To provide as much as possible of examinations material in form of MCQs, cases, pictures and tutorials in all fields. There will be a small fee to pay for this service, which will be used to run the LDS website. Provide, whenever possible, help and information to Libyan patients who come for medical treatment in the UK, Ireland, Canada, or the USA. This will include information on the best hospitals and best specialists offering good professional medical services.
